Adult nursing department

INTRODUCTION

The department is one of the oldest departments of the School of Nursing of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia and has many years of experience in providing clinical training and new advanced training based on hospitals and simulation-driven laboratories.

The two departments of the school, “Clinical Department” established in 2004 and “Specialized Nursing Department” established by the order No.A125 of the Director of SHT on August 29, 2012, has been restructured and renamed “Adult Nursing Department” in 2014.

The Department of Adult Nursing has a staff of 15 full-time faculty members. In terms of education: PhD (4) accounts for 26.6% and M.Sc (11) for 73.4%. In terms of rank, associate professors (1) account for 6.7%, senior lecturers (6) for 40%, teachers (6) for 40%, and interns (2) for 13.3%. In terms of specialization, the degree of Consultant is (2) 13.3%, Leading Degree (5) 33.3%, Senior Degree (4) 26.7%, and Degree (4) 26.7%.

It aims to train nurses and medical professionals with clinical knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide health care services that meet national and regional needs in a highly professional, equitable and accessible manner.
